Last night I submitted part I of my MBA application to UNC - Chapel Hill, leaving me with the essays, recommendations, and interview (which I'll have this Saturday). I've applied early action, which means that if I get in I am expected to attend (which of course I will). My GMAT scores were okay - I beasted the verbal section (89th percentile) and the analytical writing assessment (87th percentile, with a perfect 6/6) but my quantitative score was pretty low (only 53rd percentile). There are schools that offer a no GMAT MBA, but most of these tend to be online MBA programs.
Though I think the online MBA has a lot of benefits that the traditional MBA does not, such as the flexibility of being able to take the classes whenever you want and wherever you want, I still think that the live and in-person networking opportunities presented by an on-campus MBA program outweigh the additional costs (such as moving, having to leave the work force, etc.).
If I had any blog readers, I would ask what you think!
